An entrepreneur by upbringing. An economist by training. A placemaker by practice. Alex formed Yellowbrick Urban to apply his varied experiences to transform urban environments through strategic real estate and placemaking projects.
A Kansas native, he has nearly a decade of experience brokering, investing in, and repositioning properties. Alex began his career as a commercial real estate analyst, soon taking on commercial property management responsibilities and brokering sale and lease deals.
Alex then pursued an interest in urban design, forming the Yellowbrick Street Team - a nonprofit placemaking organization that received international recognition for its unique projects and innovative strategies.
Seeing a need for a place-led approach to the revitalization of urban neighborhoods, he started Yellowbrick Urban to align his work enlivening public spaces with the renewal of the properties around them.
